Target Corporation launched its first stores in Alaska this month, fueled by a radio campaign featuring music provided by Rumble and done in collaboration with the Alaskan group, Pamyua.
The radio spots, developed by Brew, were designed to introduce the new Target stores to Alaska with a strong local flavor. Rumble composer Tommy Barbarella crafted the music and recorded it with the members of Pamyua (pictured below). Based in Anchorage, Pamyua is a world music/”tribal funk” group that blends Inuit harmonies, the sounds of the didgeridoo, and the African djembe for a rich combination of cultural music.
